Breaking Barriers
to Care
The Al Copeland Foundation Patient Assistance Program stands as a testament to our organization’s unwavering commitment to eliminating barriers to the best cancer care available, particularly for pediatric patients engaged in clinical trials. Launched through the SuperDucks campaign in 2022, the Patient Assistance Fund emerged as a beacon of support for families of children diagnosed with cancer. The program’s primary focus is to alleviate the financial burden faced by these families, providing grants that cover a spectrum of expenses, including household bills, transportation, food, supplemental medicine, and lodging.
Grants Awarded
“It was honestly amazing! I’m so forever grateful for the Al Copeland Foundation! And for children’s hospital honestly, they have been taking such good care of Drako in this whole time.”
"The fund was a huge help. Since Avery's diagnosis I haven't been back to work, I used all the savings I had and then from there the fund helped cover the rest of my bills"
“Not having to worry about paying rent on top of everything going on was an incredible blessing. We weren't about to so so the grant money saved us. We encourage anyone to apply and talk to their social worker about the financial options available to them"
